28. One-Non-Payer Plan

Obama claims at various times to be in favor of a "one-payer" health insurance scheme [Video at Blog 25].  Actually, it is a one-non-payer scheme.

BO advisor on health ratoning Dr. Emanuel [EE] proposes a scheme based on an arbitrary graph (fancifully but accurately dubbed the Grim Reaper Curve).  This scheme rations health care based on age.

If you are lucky enough to be in the 15-40 age bracket, EE would award you "maximum" care -- which depends on how much money is "available".  Note that if the scheme goes broke (like every government project), you get nothing, even though you are in the favored age group of "socially useful" persons.

If you are in the 40-60 year age group,  your health care is "attenuated" (reduced) until at age 60, when you might really, really need it, you get practically nothing.

If you are so unlucky as to be beyond 60, the Grim Reaper Curve "attenuates" you to the category of "socially useless" persons who get Band-Aids, cough syrup, and Tylenol instead of real health care [Blog 1 and 2].  "Let them die", said Robert Reich [Blog 23], and EE's Grim Reaper Curve implements this thought.

Oh, yes, if you are disabled at any age, you are obviously socially worthless and worthy of no care whatsoever, according to EE and BO [Blog 1 and 2]. The same goes for young children [Blog 26].

"One-payer" government insurance will be run by "expert" death committees, who will "no-pay" for large segments of the population.

27. Told You So

Betsy McCaughey blew the whistle on Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (Dr. Death), Obama's advidor on rationing nationalized health care [Blog 24].  She uncovered the infamous "Reaper Curve", which shows graphically how Dr. Death would have government death committees deny health care to old people and babies, in favor of the 15-40 age group.

This is not just the mad doctor's nightmare dream.  It is in the Senate bill.

McCaughey has another article, in the New York Post
[ tinyurl.com/ygxs2c9 ] on how the Senate Obamacrats are planning to implement the Ezekiel Grim Reaper Curve.

According to McCaughey, Section 3003(b) (p. 683) of the Senate Finance committee (Baucus) bill "punishes doctors who land in the 90th percentile or above on what they provide for seniors on Medicare by withholding 5 percent of their compensation". That is, a fine for treating their patients.

Also, "The Senate Finance bill establishes a formula that penalizes hospitals for high 'Medicare spending per beneficiary' (Section 2001, p. 643)."  That is, a fine for providing hospital care.

Government controlled health care would require doctors to renounce their Hippocratic Oath to consider the patient's welfare first.  The Baucus bill would penalize ethical action and reward doctors who are subservient to government death committees.

Here we see the ethics of death-wopship (altruism) in all of its naked infamy, sacrificing some patients and doctors for the benefit of others, according to an arbitrary rule concocted by self-righteous "partners with God".

They cannot justify their actions in reason.  They can only impose their rules by force.

26. British Health Care

A British newspaper reports that babies are being born on sidewalks, in taxies, and elsewhere. (Health care has been nationalized in Britain.)

Apparently the British death committe rationers have decreed that maternity hospitals shall be replaced by sidewalks, taxis, hallways, and other pre-existing facilities, as a cost-cutting measure.

Getting back to civilization in the Obama era of fascist health plans, this British phenomenon is right in line with the EE Reaper Curve [Blog 24], which decrees that essentially zero amount of health care  should be allotted to the newborn, who, after all, are socially useless.

This feature should make every prospective mother an instant enemy of the EE-BO rationing scheme.

Fortunately for the newborn, under ObamaCare there will be ample sidewalks to handle the expected case load (at a tremendous saving in money).

25. AARP Dilemma

The AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) tacitly (and not so tacitly) endorses Obama's "plan" to take over and nationalize health care.

This is not surprising, since they have always been a government "front". And like thier Leader, Obama, they don't like criticism.

But there is an unintended consequence that the AARP might want to consider.

Obama's health rationing advisor, Dr. E. Emanuel ( Dr. Death) proposes to ration nationalized health care on the basis of age [Blog 24], by means of a chart popularly known as the Reaper Curve.  According to this scheme, persons in the age group of most AARP members would receive little or no health care, beyond the Obama-esque Band Aids, cough syrup, and Tylenol.

As Obama's death committees , guided by the Reaper Curve, kill more and more old people, the membership of the AARP might decline, as the old people slip away into the Nirvana of pain-pill-induced dementia, after retiring to the Obama Killing Salons.

Not to worry.  The AARP can just redefine itself as the association for non-retired persons, AANRP.

24. E. Emanuel, Dr. Death

This is the most important blog that I have posted.  It reveals the plan behind the drive to nationalize health care, and how rationing will be implemented.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel  (EE) is an advisor to Obama on health matters.  He cannot be called the Health Czar, because Nancy-Ann DeParle has that title. He is also health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of the Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. He is the brother of Rahm Emanuel, Obama's Chief Of Staff.

Perhaps EE should be called the Health Rasputin, for reasons which I will explain.

Emanuel calls himself a "bio-ethicist"; that is, one who concerns himself with the morality of medical activities.  The specific problem which concerns him is the "fair" distribution of government health care (by rationing).

Emanuel sets forth his "bio-ethicist" ideas plainly in an artice, "Principles for Allocation of Scarce Medical Interventions",  in The Lancet, Volume 373, Issue 9661, Pages 423 - 431, Jan. 31, 2009 [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ]  This article was published after Obama's inauguration, so Obama can't credibly claim ignorance of the ideas of his advisor.

A summary of Emanuel's views, by Betsy McCaughey, appears in the Wall Street Journal [ tinyurl.com/kjw6bj ].  According to McCaughey, Dr. Emanuel has fought for a government takeover of health care for over a decade.

In the Lancet article [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ], Dr. Emanuel analyzes several schemes to allocate / ration governmnent health care. He concludes that the "fairest" scheme is one which he calls the "complete lives system" [CLS] — which prioritizes younger people who have not yet lived a "complete life".  He does not define "complete life", or explain why this is a valid criterion for his discrination scheme.  In the CLS, EE fancies that he has solved the "bio-ethical" problem.

Emanuel's plan would start with elimination of the Hippocratic Oath [ tinyurl.com/58fbca ], which pledges the doctor to keep the good of the patient as the highest priority, to practice and prescribe to the best of his ability for the good of his patients, and to try to avoid harming them.

EE wants to eliminate the Hippocratic oath because it pledges the doctor to act for the benefit of the patient.  EE wants the doctor to be an agent of the government, and medicine to be practiced for the "good of society", not the individual.
 
EE illustrates how this depraved, shocking,  and totally evil scheme would "work" by setting forth the specifics of his scheme in a graph.

This graph is known as the "Reaper Curve", though EE does not call it that, and McCaughey  tinyurl.com/kjw6bj  uses the term without attribution. I am proposing an even more appropriate name: the "Grim Reaper Curve".

The curve shows the relative amount of health care that EE's ghoulish scheme would allocate, as a function of age of the patient. Patients aged 15 to 40 would be allocated the "maximum" amount of health care, while those under 15 or over 40 whould receive
"attenuated" (reduced) amounts of care.  BO has obviously concurred in this scheme [Blogs 1 and 2].

EE compounds his dishonesty by claiming that "allocation by age is not invidious (discriminatory) discrimination" [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ].  This is insulting.  The whole purpose of the Reaper Curve is to set forth graphically the different treatments for patients of different ages.  This is discrimination by age, or words have no meaning.

To express EE's proposals -- for rationing health care by age -- with more clarity, I have taken the liberty of drawing in the age limits of 15 and 40, and coloring the regions according to a distinctive pattern.  Here is my revised version of the Grim Reaper Curve:

 The principle behind the Grim Reaper Curve and the ghoul EE's scheme for government-run health "care" rationing is altruism -- the sacrifice of the individual to the collective ("society"), which means, the sacrifice of some individuals to other individuals.  EE proposes to sacrifice the old, the very young, and the disabled to those in the 15-40 age group.

The Grim Reaper Curve [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ]proposed by EE/BO makes it crystal clear that the purpose of forced government "insurance"  (the falsely-named "public option") is to transfer the cost of health insurance from the able-bodied 15-40 age group to the old, the young, and the disabled.  Yes, the old, the young, and the disabled will be forced (fines, prison terms) to pay for the health care of the able-bodied.

And -- the old, the young, and the disabled will be denied health care because they are "socially useless" or have lived "complete lives" [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ].  EE/BO propose to give them Band-Aids, cough syrup, and Tylenol instead of real health care [Blogs 1 and 2 ],  Or just "let you die" as Robert Reichstag proposed [Blog 23].

This is monstrous.  This is hideous.  This is altruism carried to its logical horrible extreme.  This is wholly evil.  EE is proposing genocide.  He deserves to be known as Dr. Death.

This is not a health care "plan". It is not even a health care scheme.  It is a health care scam.  It is a system for rationing health care according to the ethics of altruism.  Dr. Death's "bio-ethics" turns ethics on its head, sacrificing the individual for the group, sacrificing some for the benefit of others (the "chosen  -- by EE / BO-- people").

Ethics, rightly understood, is a code of values to guide man's actions for survival, not death.

In Dr. Death's inverted ethics [ tinyurl.com/yfemyzh ], the old, the handicapped, and the very young are sacrificed to the 15-40 age group, those whom Dr. Death considers "socially useful".  This is death-wish ethics.  It is genocide by government decree.  It is ObamiCide. It is completely evil. 

If we value life, it must not come to pass.
